Debra Stanfield, MFT
Debra Stanfield is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She has specialized training in working with people who have chronic pain, chronic illness, anxiety and depression using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. For the past 2 years Debra has been facilitating groups at Recovery Road that focus on chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and chemical dependency. Through daily treatment with group psychotherapy she helps the patients continue their healing as they learn new coping skills to deal with the many changes that come about from an injury, chronic illness, or a mental illness.
For 2 years Debra was on the staff of Domestic Violence Solutions of Santa Barbara working with individuals and families with trauma. In addition to her work at Recovery Road, she has a private practice internship where she sees individuals, couples and families. She has a B.A. from the University of California Santa Barbara in Psychology and an M.A. from Antioch University in Clinical Psychology.
