Kathy Marden, MFT
Kathy Marden has been an MFT psychotherapist for 20 years. For the last 15 she has specialized in working with people who have chronic illness and chronic pain. For 12 years she was on the staff of the Rehabilitation Institute at Santa Barbara in their Chronic Pain Management Program. In addition to her work at Recovery Road, she has a private practice where she sees individuals, couples and families. Of particular interest to her is helping people cope with the grief and loss that accompanies signigicant injury and or illness and teaching them the Cognitive Behavioral Techniques that will enable them to move forward in their lives.She also runs groups for people with chronic pain and illness, has taught workshops, and given lectures on this subject.She has a BA from San Jose State University, an M.S. from UC Davis, and an M.A. from UC Santa Barbara in Counseling Psychology.
